Michael P. Esposito
Michael P. Esposito (January 22, 1913 – July 12, 1988) was an American Democratic Party politician who served five terms in the New Jersey General Assembly from Jersey City. Biography Esposito was born in Jersey City on January 22, 1913. He attended public schools there graduating from William L. Dickinson High School and later Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He was the president of John Esposito & Sons, Inc., a hardware and contractor supply business in Jersey City. He also served on the Jersey City Board of Education and various other committees and societies. He married the former Theresa Orrico and had one daughter. In 1967, under a new district allotment for the General Assembly, Esposito was elected alongside fellow Democrat Christopher Jackman in Assembly District 12-C consisting of Ward E of Jersey City, Guttenberg, Hoboken, Weehawken, and West New York, New Jersey. New Jersey's 32nd Legislative District is one of 40 districts that make up the map for the New Jersey Legislature. It encompasses the Bergen County boroughs of Edgewater and Fairview and the Hudson County municipalities of East Newark, Guttenberg, Harrison, Kearny, North Bergen, Secaucus, and West New York. Demographic information As of the 2020 United States census, the district had a population of 243,875, of whom 195,978 (80.4%) were of voting age. Brendan Byrne
Brendan Thomas Byrne (April 1, 1924 – January 4, 2018) was an American politician, statesman, and prosecutor, serving as the 47th governor of New Jersey from 1974 to 1982. A member of the Democratic Party, Byrne started his career as a private attorney and worked in the New Jersey state government starting in 1955 before resuming his legal career after leaving office in 1982. During his time as governor, Byrne oversaw the opening of the first gambling casinos in Atlantic City, expanded the oceanside municipality's economic base, and established the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate. He also saved a large majority of woodlands and wildlife areas in the state from development. In the late 1970s, an FBI wiretap recorded local mobsters calling Byrne "the man who couldn't be bought," a reference to his high ethical standards. North Bergen is a township in the northern part of Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the township had a total population of 63,361. Thomas Howard Kean ( ; born April 21, 1935) is an American businessman, academic administrator and politician. A member of the Republican Party, Kean served as the 48th governor of New Jersey from 1982 to 1990. Following his tenure as governor, Kean served as the president of Drew University for 15 years, retiring in 2005. In 2002, Kean was appointed by President George W.
