Michael Ojo (basketball, Born 1989)
Michael Adetokunbo Ojo (born June 28, 1989) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks before playing pro ball in Europe. Professional career In 2011, Ojo signed with the Plymouth Raiders of the British Basketball League and played there for two seasons. He helped the team make it to the BBL Cup and Trophy finals and in his final season, he averaged 22.5 points per game. Later, Ojo played for Apollon Limassol (Cyprus), Eco Örebro (Sweden), Apollon Patras (Greece), Sigma Barcellona (Italy) and mmcité Brno (Czech Republic). Also played in Austria for the Klosterneuburg Dukes and the Allianz Swans Gmunden. On January 3, 2018, Ojo signed for the Worcester Wolves. In 21 games, he averaged 11.9 points and 3.0 assists while shooting 41.7% from the three point line. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Cheshire Phoenix
The Cheshire Phoenix are a professional basketball team based in Ellesmere Port, England. Founded in 1984, they are members of the British Basketball League and play their home games at the Cheshire Oaks Arena. From 1993 until 2015 the team was based in Chester, where they enjoyed their most success. ''The Shuttle'', formerly known as the ''Kidderminster Shuttle'', is a free weekly newspaper distributed to households in the Wyre Forest area of Worcestershire, England, on a Thursday. Svenska Basketligan, or the Swedish Basketball League (SBL), is the premier league for professional basketball in Sweden. The league was originally established in 1992 as Basketligan and was known as that prior to the season of 2006–07, but when the Swedish company Obol Investment signed an agreement with the Swedish Basketball Federation in early October 2006, the league was renamed Obol Basketball League (OBL). Cyprus Basketball Division A
The Cypriot Basketball Division A is currently the top-tier level men's professional basketball competition of the Cypriot basketball league system. It is run and governed by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. Format At present, six clubs compete in the league. Since the 2016–17 season, the six teams play each other four times during the regular season, with the top 4 teams reaching the play-off semi-finals stage. One team (the last one) at the end of the season is relegated to the second division, whilst one team from the second division is promoted. The play-off semi-finals and the championship winner will be decided after three wins. The championship winner, along with the winners of the Cypriot Cup, will qualify to compete in the next season's FIBA's European-wide continental competitions.
