Michael Koch (film Director)
Michael Koch (born 2 July 1982 in Lucerne) is a Swiss film director and screenwriter. Life and work At the age of 17 Koch made his acting debut at the Young Theater of Basel (Junges Theater Basel), where he appeared in further productions until 2002. In 2003 he played the lead role in the Swiss comedy Achtung, fertig, Charlie!. In the same year, Koch began studying at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, while at the same time working occasionally as an actor for television films until 2007. As a director, Koch made several short films during his studies, which were shown at many German and foreign film festivals and received numerous awards. In 2005, his short documentary film We Are the Faithful about the chief supporter in the FC Basel fan curve was released. 72nd Berlin International Film Festival
The 72nd annual Berlin International Film Festival, usually called the Berlinale took place from 10 to 20 February 2022 in person. On 15 December 2021 the first film of the festival was announced. The festival opened with François Ozon's drama film ''Peter von Kant''. Isabelle Huppert was awarded Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement on 15 February 2022 at the Berlinale Palast award ceremony. Her film by Laurent Larivière, ''À propos de Joan'' was also screened. The awards were presented on 16 February 2022 truncating the festival by 4 days. The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951 and originally run in June, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the " Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France. The FilmArtFestival Mecklenburg-Pomerania (German: ''filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern'') is held annually in the city of Schwerin in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Internationale Festival der Filmhochschulen München also known as ''Filmschoolfest Munich'' is one of the most important festivals for young filmmakers in the world. More than 3,500 films were screened at the festival so far. The next festival will be from November 15–21, 2020. The festival was established by Professor Wolfgang Längsfeld in 1981.
