Michael Kibet
Michael Kibet (born 3 September 1999) is a Kenyan middle- and long-distance runner. He won the 5000 m at the Kenyan Trials for the 2019 World Athletics Championships, but was barred from competing at the meet by the Athletics Integrity Unit for not having had enough drug tests. In 2023, it was announced that Kibet was banned for four years from all high-level competitions due to a positive test from 20 September 2022. Biography Kibet began running at a young age, training in Iten, Kenya while representing the Kenyan Police Service. He made his international debut in April 2019, winning the GP Brasil Caixa de Atletismo 1500 m in a time of 3:38.85. On 13 September 2019, Kibet won the Kenyan World Championship Trials (separate from the earlier Kenyan Athletics Championships, in which he finished 3rd) in a time of 13:26.83 for 5000 m. 2021 Anniversary Games
The 2021 Anniversary Games, officially known as the 2021 Müller British Grand Prix, was the 68th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting usually held in London, though in 2021 it was held in Gateshead instead. Held on 13 July at Gateshead International Stadium, it was the seventh leg of the 2021 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. The meeting was highlighted by Mohamed Katir's win and Spanish record in the 3000 metres, as well as Trayvon Bromell's return to form in winning the 100 metres. Results Athletes competing in the Diamond League disciplines earned extra compensation and points which went towards qualifying for the Diamond League finals in Zürich. Gateshead () is a large town in northern England. It is on the River Tyne's southern bank, opposite Newcastle to which it is joined by seven bridges. The London Diamond League, formerly known as the London Grand Prix and subsequently as the Anniversary Games, is an annual athletics event held in London, England. Previously one of the five IAAF Super Grand Prix events, it is now part of the Diamond League. As the London Grand Prix, until 2012 all editions were held at the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace. The 2013 edition was renamed the ''Anniversary Games'' as it took place at the Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, exactly one year after the Olympic Games were held in the same venue and have been followed by an IPC London Grand Prix, making it a three-day event. Erythropoietin (; EPO), also known as erythropoetin, haematopoietin, or haemopoietin, is a glycoprotein cytokine secreted mainly by the kidneys in response to cellular hypoxia; it stimulates red blood cell production (erythropoiesis) in the bone marrow. A growth factor is a naturally occurring substance capable of stimulating cell proliferation, wound healing, and occasionally cellular differentiation.
