Michael Kailis
Michael George Kailis (14 February 1929 – 25 June 1999) was a Western Australian businessman who founded the MG Kailis Group of companies, whose head office is in Fremantle, Western Australia. In 1960 he and his wife Patricia Kailis started a small rock lobster operation in Dongara, later expanding their interests into prawning, shipbuilding, aquaculture and the Kailis Jewellery line, built on pearls. Patricia Kailis
Patricia Verne Kailis (19 August 1933 – 17 April 2020) was an Australian business woman, geneticist and neurologist noted for her work in genetic counseling for neurological and neuromuscular disorders. Life and career Kailis was born Patricia Verne Hurse in Castlemaine, Victoria. She attended Presbyterian Ladies' College in Melbourne and then studied medicine at Melbourne University. Rock Lobster
"Rock Lobster" is a song written by Fred Schneider and Ricky Wilson, two members of the B-52's. It was twice recorded and released as a single, first by DB Records as their debut release in April 1978, and again the following year for the band's self-titled debut album on Warner Bros. Records. The song became one of their signature tunes and launched the band's career. "Rock Lobster" was well-received by critics, and went on to place at No. 147 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list in December 2004. Composition and themes The original DB Records single version has a duration of 4:37, and is faster in tempo and more "raw" than the 1979 single version, basically due to lower sound quality and the absence of a bassline.
