Michael Gifford
Michael John Gifford (born 2 April 1961) is a British diplomat who has been the List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom to Kazakhstan, United Kingdom's Ambassador to Kazakhstan since January 2018. Career Gifford joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1981. From 2004 until 2007 he served as the List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom to Yemen, British Ambassador to Yemen. He was then the Deputy Head of Mission in Cairo. He became the List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom to North Korea, Ambassador to North Korea in October 2012. He left that appointment in December 2015 and was succeeded by Alastair Morgan. After full-time Russian language training he was appointed to be the List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom to Kazakhstan, Ambassador to Kazakhstan from early 2018. Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout their lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office, and is held only for the duration of that office. Hastings Grammar School
Hastings () is a large seaside town and borough in East Sussex on the south coast of England, east to the county town of Lewes and south east of London. The town gives its name to the Battle of Hastings, which took place to the north-west at Senlac Hill in 1066. It later became one of the medieval Cinque Ports. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service.
