Michael G. Gunther
Michael Gunther is a producer, director and writer. Gunther started out in feature films after a career as a commercials director in Europe that spanned almost a decade, and included collaborations with Russell Boyd. He later turned his sights to documentary and feature films and started producing TV documentaries with his own company, including a portrait of acclaimed painter Hans Falk and an account of the devastating 1999 earthquake in Turkey. He wrote and directed ''The Honeytrap'', starring British actress Emily Lloyd, in 2002. He produced a number of independent features and shorts. Most recently he was co-producer for the feature film ''Anamorph'', directed by Henry Miller and starring Willem Dafoe, Scott Speedman, Peter Stormare and Clea DuVall. In 2006, he set up New York-based production company named Triboro Pictures with Sirad Balducchi. Russell Boyd
Russell Stewart Boyd, , ACS, ASC, (born 21 April 1944) is an Australian cinematographer. He rose to prominence with his highly praised work on '' Picnic at Hanging Rock'' (1975), the first of several collaborations with director Peter Weir. Boyd is a member of both the Australian Cinematographers Society since 1975 and the American Society of Cinematographers since 2004. Boyd served as cinematographer for ''Tender Mercies'', a 1983 film about an alcoholic country singer played by Robert Duvall. Boyd largely utilized available light to give the film a natural feeling which director Bruce Beresford said was crucial to the movie. Actress Tess Harper said Boyd was so quiet during filming that he mostly used only three words: "Yeah, right and sure." Hans Falk (painter)
Hans Falk (1918–2002) was a Swiss painter, who lived in New York City, Ireland, England, Switzerland and Stromboli, Italy. Hans Falk was one of the most important modern Swiss painters. Hans Falk was born in Zurich in 1918 and went on to study at the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich and the art schools in Lucerne. His first commissioned works were posters and graphic designs, which won him numerous awards. Amongst his most important competition wins were a series of seven posters he designed for the 1964 Swiss National Exhibition. He went on to travel extensively, living abroad for extended periods in England, New York and Ireland. Emily Alice Lloyd-Pack (born 29 September 1970), known as Emily Lloyd, is an English actress. At the age of 16, she starred in her debut and breakthrough role in the 1987 film ''Wish You Were Here'', for which she received critical acclaim and Best Actress awards from the National Society of Film Critics and the Evening Standard British Film Awards. Anamorph (film)
''Anamorph'' is a 2007 independent psychological thriller film directed by Henry S. Miller and starring Willem Dafoe. Dafoe plays a seasoned detective named Stan Aubray, who notices that a case he has been assigned to bears a striking similarity to a previous case of his. The film is based on the concept of anamorphosis, a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective to create two competing images on a single canvas. Dafoe turned down the role initially but reconsidered after a chance meeting with producer Marissa McMahon on a flight from Los Angeles.
