Michael Duckworth
Michael James Duckworth (born 28 April 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back for club York City. He will sign for Scarborough Athletic on 1 July 2024. He has played in the English Football League for Hartlepool United, Fleetwood Town and Morecambe. Early life and career Early career Duckworth was born in Rinteln, Lower Saxony, Germany and lived there for six months before being raised in Rawcliffe, York, England. He started playing for his local team in Rawcliffe aged five, before joining York City's youth team aged 10. Duckworth signed a two-year scholarship with York in May 2008 after graduating from the club's Centre of Excellence. However, he was released after failing to earn a professional contract in May 2010. Victoria Park is a football ground in Hartlepool, County Durham, England, which is the home of League Two club Hartlepool United. The four sides of the ground are known as the Town End Terrace (official capacity 1,775), the Niramax Stand (official capacity 1,617 seated and 1,832 terraced standing), the Cyril Knowles Stand (official capacity 1,599) and the Rink End (official capacity 1,033). The Town End Terrace is a standing area behind the south goal, and usually the most vocal area of the ground.
