Michael Dreher (born 1974 in Ruit) is a German film director and screenwriter. Life and work Michael Dreher was born in Ruit, Ostfildern, Baden-Württemberg. In 1996, he started to work as production manager and thereafter, in 1997, he studied film direction at the University of Television and Film Munich. Michael Dreher finished his study in 2006 with a successful diploma- and short film ''Fair Trade'', which he produced together with Karim Debbagh and which was nominated for the Student Academy Award. Ostfildern
Ostfildern (; Swabian: ''Oschtfilder'') is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is located approximately 8 km southeast of Stuttgart. It was formed in 1975 out of a fusion of the previously separate boroughs of Nellingen (including Parksiedlung), Ruit, Kemnat and Scharnhausen and currently has approximately 37,000 inhabitants. Geography Ostfildern is situated in the east of the Filder area, a fertile plateau south of Stuttgart. It is bordered to the south by the Körsch river, which flows into the Neckar. History The town of Ostfildern was formed on 1 January 1975 from the fusion of the formerly independent boroughs of Nellingen, Ruit, Kemnat and Scharnhausen. Karim Debbagh (born January 25, 1972, in Tangier) is a Moroccan film producer. Life and work In 1997 Debbagh went to Germany to study Film Production at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. In 2002 he finished his studies, and received his diploma. Afterward. Debbagh worked as line producer and unit production manager in Germany. Debbagh returned to his hometown of Tangier in 2003.
