Michael DiGregorio
Michael Vincent DiGregorio (born December 12, 1991) is a Filipino-Italian professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 35th overall by the Mahindra Enforcer in the 2015 PBA draft. Professional career DiGregorio was drafted 35th overall by the Mahindra Enforcer during the fourth round of the 2015 PBA draft. On February 20, 2017, DiGregorio was signed by the Blackwater Elite. DiGregorio's play in the 2017 Commissioners Cup and 2017 Governors' Cup thrust him into being one of the finalists for the 2017 PBA Most Improved Player award at the annual PBA Leo Awards Night. On September 7, 2017, he signed a two-year contract extension with the team. On October 19, 2019, he was traded to the TNT KaTropa for Brian Heruela. The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of twelve company-branded franchised teams. Founded in 1975, it is the first professional basketball league in Asia and is the second oldest continuously professional basketball league existing in the world after the National Basketball Association, NBA,Bartholomew, Rafe. Ernie DiGregorio
Ernest DiGregorio (born January 15, 1951), also known as "Ernie D.", is an American former professional basketball player. He was named NBA Rookie of the Year in the 1973–74 season and shares the NBA rookie record for assists in a single game with 25. Due to a severe knee injury suffered early in DiGregorio's professional career, he played only five NBA seasons. A 1973 NCAA All-American at Providence, DiGregorio was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. Early life DiGregorio played on the 1968 Rhode Island (Class B) champions at North Providence High School. College and NBA career He and Marvin Barnes led Coach Dave Gavitt's Providence team to a Final Four appearance in the 1973 NCAA Tournament in DiGregorio's senior season, where they eventually lost to Memphis State, but only after Barnes sustained a knee injury that forced an early exit.
