Michael Dean (born 1977) is a British artist, living and working in London, United Kingdom. In 2016 he was shortlisted for the Turner Prize. Dean's sculptural work is focused on typefaces. He graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2001 with a BA Fine Art (Studio Practice and Contemporary Critical Theory). Career In 2016, Dean was a Turner Prize nominee. Michael Dean (broadcaster)
Michael Dean (15 May 1933 – 5 October 2015) was a New Zealand-born television broadcaster from the 1960s to the 1980s, best known for his work for the BBC in the United Kingdom, but who worked in his native New Zealand and in Australia. Biography Born in Palmerston North in 1933, Dean was the son of Mavis Eileen Dean (née Mason) and her husband, general practitioner Kenrick Holt Dean, a grandson of Robert Holt. He was educated at Palmerston North Boys' High School and joined the local newspaper as a cadet journalist. Aged 20, he became ill with tuberculosis and spent a period in a sanatorium. He spent a year in South Africa as a newspaper sports reporter in Cape Town, before returning to New Zealand to work for the New Zealand Broadcasting Service. After a period in Sydney, Dean moved to the United Kingdom and was a presenter for eight years on the BBC2 discussion programme ''Late Night Line-Up''. Gang Green
Gang Green is an American punk rock band originally from Braintree, Massachusetts. Chris Doherty (guitar), Bill Manley (bass) and Mike Dean (drums) started the band in 1980 and broke up in 1983. Doherty reformed Gang Green the following year, and the band experienced numerous lineup changes until its dissolution for the second time in 1992. Doherty has been the band's only constant member and has kept Gang Green active from 2005 onwards. Thomas Michael Dean (born August 24, 1963) is an American musician who is the bassist for heavy metal band Corrosion of Conformity. Dean sang on the band's early recordings from their crossover thrash era before leaving the band in 1987. In 1989, Dean, along with C.O.C. guitarist Woody Weatherman and Brian Walsby on drums, released the Snake Nation album via Caroline Records. Dean rejoined C.O.C. as the bassist and occasional vocalist in 1993 and has remained with the band since. From 2010 through 2020, the original lineup of Corrosion of Conformity consisting of Dean, Reed Mullin, and Woody Weatherman, were again performing and recording as a three-piece, until Mullin’s death in 2020. Mike Dean (born December 26, 1955) is an American politician from Alabama. Dean attended B. C. Rain High School and played for the American football team as a linebacker. He played college football for William Carey College, but left college without graduating in 1979 to help with the family hauling business after Hurricane Frederic. Mike Dean (born 2 June 1968) is a former English professional football referee and currently a video assistant referee (VAR) primarily in the Premier League. He is based in Heswall, Wirral, in North West England, and is a member of the Cheshire County Football Association.
