Michael Day (guitarist)
Michael Day is a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and teacher from Chicago, Illinois. Education Day graduated from the Merit School of Music in Chicago as a kid, has a bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and a master's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Manhattan School of Music. Michael Day also studied music in Cuba at The National School for the Arts in Havana. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music. Jazz is characterized by swing and blue notes, complex chords, call and response vocals, polyrhythms and improvisation. Jazz has roots in European harmony and African rhythmic rituals. Soul Punk
''Soul Punk'' is the debut solo studio album by American musician Patrick Stump, the lead vocalist, guitarist and composer of Fall Out Boy. It was released in the United States on October 18, 2011 through Island Records. Stump's solo project was officially announced in January 2010 and he later revealed his first album's title to be ''Soul Punk'', his first major musical project since Fall Out Boy's hiatus in late 2009. The album features no guest artists (besides a bonus remix track with guest vocals from Lupe Fiasco), and Stump wrote all the tracks and played all the instruments, as well as handling production. He characterised the lyrics as being "90% metaphors", with lyrical themes dealing with self-belief, corporate greed, innocence and death. Peter Brian Gabriel (born 13 February 1950) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and activist. He rose to fame as the original lead singer of the progressive rock band Genesis. After leaving Genesis in 1975, he launched a successful solo career with "Solsbury Hill" as his first single. Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting).
