Michael Cody (born 20 June 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays for Kilkenny Intermediate Championship club Dunnamaggin and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right corner-back. Dunnamaggin
Dunnamaggin (officially Dunnamaggan; ) is a small village in the south County Kilkenny, Ireland, on the R699 road between Callan and Knocktopher, east of its intersection with the R697 between Kells and Kilmoganny. Dunnamaggan gives its name to a civil parish, an electoral division, and the townlands of Dunnamaggan East and West. Dunnamaggin has a national school and a credit union. It gives its name to the Catholic parish, which also includes the villages of Kilmoganny and Kells. All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship
The All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship is an annual inter-county club hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 2002-03 for eligible hurling clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their county club championships. The final, usually held in early February, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the winter months, and the results determine which county's team receives the cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the series. In the present format, it begins in October with provincial championships held in Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster, with the four respective champions contesting the subsequent All-Ireland series with the British champions. The 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 85th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship for players under the age of eighteen since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 8 April 2014 and ended on 6 September 2014. Kilkenny were the defending champions. 2017 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2017 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 54th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 24 May 2017 and ended on 9 September 2017. Waterford entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Cork in the Munster semi-final. Meath fielded a team in the championship for the first time in several seasons. On 9 September 2017, Limerick won the championship following a 0-17 to 0-11 defeat of Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final.
