Michael William Buckley (born August 16, 1969) is a bestselling children's author whose works include ''The Sisters Grimm'' the ''N.E.R.D.S.'' book series, and Finn and the Intergalactic Lunchbox. Early life Born in Akron, Ohio, Michael Buckley attended Ohio University, where he graduated with honors. Shortly after graduating from Ohio University in 1986, Buckley moved to New York City. Career Sometime after college Buckley moved to New York City to start an internship with the ''Late Show with David Letterman'', then moved into a television production job where he worked on documentaries. His books are published by Harry N. Abrams. Buckley worked as a stand-up comic as well as a TV copywriter before he started to write ''The Sisters Grimm'' series. Sir Michael Sydney Buckley (born 20 June 1939) is an English retired civil servant who was Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and Health Service Commissioner for England, Scotland and Wales (Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman) between 1997 and 2002. Buckley was born in 1939 and educated at Eltham College and Christ Church, Oxford where he studied Mods and Greats. In 1962, Buckley joined the Treasury as an Assistant Principal. He was the Assistant Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, James Callaghan between 1965 and 1966. He was then a Principal at the Treasury until 1968, when he moved to the Civil Service Department, where he stayed until 1971. Buckley moved back to the Treasury as Principal and then as Assistant Secretary between 1974 and 1977. Mick Buckley (4 November 1953 – 7 October 2013) was an English footballer who played for Everton, Sunderland, Hartlepool United, Carlisle United and Middlesbrough as a midfielder. Club career Buckley was born in Salford. He started his professional footballing career with Everton in 1971 and made 135 appearances for them, with ten goals.
