Michael J. Brady (born March 21, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics. Career Florida Marlins Brady attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School and after graduating, attended the University of California, Berkeley, and played for the California Golden Bears baseball team. He was drafted as a shortstop by the Florida Marlins in the 24th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. Brady made his professional debut with the Class A-Short Season Jamestown Jammers and, later, the Rookie league Gulf Coast Marlins in 2009. Between the two teams, he played 8 games at third base and 3 games at second base. He returned to the Jammers in 2010, but this time as a pitcher. In 49 games out of the bullpen, Brady accrued a 1–1 win–loss record with 3 saves and a 1.59 earned run average (ERA). Michael D. Brady (born May 5, 1962) is an American politician from Brockton, Massachusetts, who serves as the state legislator in the Massachusetts Senate representing the Second Plymouth & Bristol District, which covers Brockton, portions of East Bridgewater, portions of Easton, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Plympton, and Whitman. He is a Brockton resident and a member of the Democratic Party. Early life and education Brady was born on May 5, 1962, as the youngest of three children. Brady was educated through the Brockton Public School System and went on to attend Massasoit Community College and Northeastern University. He also attended Brockton High School, and graduated from it in 1980. When he was just ten years old, he was struck and seriously injured by a car. Michael Brady is a retired soccer player who is an assistant coach for the Duke University men's soccer team. He previously coached the American University women's soccer team. He played professionally, both indoors and out, in the United States. He also earned three caps with the U.S. national team in 1984 and 1985. Born in the United States and raised in England, he represented the United States at international level. Player College Brady was born in Chicago to English parents but returned to Coventry, England at 6 months old. Michael Joseph Brady (April 15, 1887 – December 3, 1972) was an American professional golfer. Biography Brady was born in Brighton, Massachusetts, on April 15, 1887. Brady won nine PGA events between 1916 and 1926. He lost in a three-way playoff to John McDermott in the 1911 U.S. Open. He lost to Walter Hagen in a celebrated playoff in the 1919 U.S. Open at the Brae Burn Country Club. Hagen promptly resigned his club pro job at Oakland Hills Country Club after winning and Oakland Hills promptly hired Brady. Brady subsequently won the 1922 Western Open at Oakland Hills. Brady died in Dunedin, Florida, at the age of 85. Michael Brady (born 28 February 1948) is an English-born Australian musician, most commonly associated with the Australian rules football anthems "Up There Cazaly", referring to 1910s St Kilda and 1920s South Melbourne player Roy Cazaly, and "One Day in September", which were released by The Two-Man Band. Both songs have become synonymous with Australian rules football and are traditionally sung on AFL Grand Final day in September. Mickey Brady (born 7 October 1950) is an Irish republican politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Newry and Armagh since 2015. He was previously a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Northern Ireland for Newry and Armagh from 2007 to 2015. Early life Brady was born in the Ballybot area of Newry. He attended the Abbey Primary School in the town and later the Abbey Christian Brothers' Grammar School. After this, he went to university in Liverpool.
