Michael Batiste (American Football)
Michael Batiste (born December 24, 1970) is a former American football defensive tackle and offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins. He also was a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy and Barcelona Dragons in the World League of American Football. He played college football at Tulane University. Early years Michael Batiste attended West Brook Senior High School, where he was an All-district selection in football as a senior (jersey 72). He also lettered in basketball and track as a 3 year letter-man. He accepted a football scholarship from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He became a starter at defensive tackle (number 54) as a sophomore, posting 57 tackles (6 for loss) and 3 sacks. The next year, he started 9 games at defensive tackle, posting 42 tackles (5 for loss) and 4 sacks. Guard (American Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. Northwestern High School (Baltimore, Maryland)
Northwestern High School was a public high school located in Baltimore, Maryland, from 1965 to 2017. When It was built in 1965, it was racially integrated. When plans were announced in 2016 to close the school, alumni and community leaders mounted an ultimately unsuccessful campaign to keep it open. Northwestern High School closed at the end of the 2016–2017 school year, having been merged with Forest Park High School as part of the city school district's "21st Century Schools Building Plan" to consolidate and modernize its schools in response to declining enrollments. 1994 NFL Draft
The 1994 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 24–25, 1994, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played.
