Michael A. Fox
Michael A. Fox was a Republican politician from Fairfield Township, Butler County, Ohio born in Hamilton, Ohio on 15 December 1948, who died 23 June 2022 according to the Dayton Daily News. Fox served as a representative in the Ohio State Legislature representing Hamilton and Fairfield, Ohio and surrounding areas for more than two decades. He then served on the Butler County commission from 1997 until 2007, then served as director the county's Children's Services through 2009. Fox was honored by having the newly constructed Ohio State Route 129, a limited access highway connecting Hamilton and Liberty Township with Interstate 75, named for him. But in 2004, Fox's name was removed and the road was renamed Butler County Veterans Highway, after a rival politician from nearby Middletown sponsored a bill in the state legislature to change the name. Tom Kindness
Thomas Norman Kindness (August 26, 1929January 8, 2004) was a member of the United States House of Representatives representing Ohio from January 3, 1975 to January 3, 1987. Life and career Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kindness graduated from Glendale High School in Glendale, California, in 1947. Kindness received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland in 1951 and his bachelor of laws degree from George Washington University in 1953. While a student at Maryland, Kindness became a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He was assistant counsel for paper company Champion International, in Hamilton, Ohio, from 1957 to 1973, and was elected to the city council of Hamilton in 1964, serving until 1969. He served as mayor of Hamilton from 1964 to 1967. Middletown, Ohio
Middletown is a city located in Butler and Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio, about 35 miles (47 km) north of Cincinnati. The population as of the 2020 census was 50,987. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Formerly in Lemon, Turtlecreek, and Franklin townships, Middletown was incorporated by the Ohio General Assembly on February 11, 1833, and became a city in 1886. The city was the home of AK Steel Holding Corporation (formerly Armco), a major steel works founded in 1900. Although offices were moved to nearby West Chester Township in 2007, the AK Steel factory is still in Middletown. Interstate 75 (I-75) is a major north–south Interstate Highway in the Great Lakes and Southeastern regions of the United States. Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio
Liberty Township is an affluent suburb of Cincinnati located in Butler County, Ohio. It is one of thirteen townships in Butler County, Ohio, United States. It is located on the east-central part of the county, just south of the city of Monroe. With an area of about it is smallest of the thirteen townships but one of the fastest-growing areas in southwest Ohio, having a population of 37,259 at the 2010 census, up from 22,819 in 2000 and just 9,249 in 1990. It was named for Liberty, Pennsylvania, at the suggestion of John Morrow, a resident in the township at the time of its formation in 1803 who was the brother of Ohio Governor Jeremiah Morrow, after his hometown.
