Miaoli () is a railway station in Miaoli County, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways. Overview The station has one side platform and one island platform. It also has a tourist information center. Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) is a railway operator in Taiwan. It is an agency of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, responsible for managing, maintaining, and running conventional passenger and freight railway services on 1097 km of track in Taiwan. Tzu-Chiang Limited Express
The Tze-Chiang Express, also spelled "Tzu-chiang" or "Ziqiang" () is a type of express train service operated by the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) in Taiwan. Of the five service classes operated by the TRA, the Tze-Chiang trains is the fastest category. Ticketing is done on the basis of mileage (NT$2.27 per km with a 10 km minimum fee). This service is operated with 7 different trainsets: the E1000 series, the EMU1200 ( electric multiple unit), EMU300, TEMU1000 (''Taroko Express''), DR2800 ( diesel multiple unit), DR3100, and the TEMU2000 (''Puyuma Express''). The now-retired EMU100 was the first trainset built for this service, which was used for 30 years, terminating ordinary runs at June 15, 2009. National United University
The National United University (NUU; ; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Kwet-li̍p Lîen-ha̍p Thài-ho̍k'') is a public university in Miaoli City, Miaoli County, Taiwan. History The school (then a two-year private junior college) started its first semester in September 1972 as Lien Ho Industrial and Technological Junior College. The college was the only higher education institution in the Miaoli region at the time. On 1 August 1973, it was renamed to Lien Ho Junior College of Technology. In 1992 the college was renamed Lien Ho College of Technology and Commerce. On July 1, 1995, the Board of Directors donated the school to the Ministry of Education, and the college became a public institution named the National Lien Ho College of Technology and Commerce. Miaoli County Urban Planning Exhibition Center
The Miaoli County Urban Planning Exhibition Center () is a gallery of in Miaoli City, Miaoli County, Taiwan about the history of Miaoli County. History The building of the center used to be the building for Miaoli County Government before it moved to the building next to the center. The center was constructed with a cost of NT$164 million. Changhua Station
Changhua () is a railway station in Changhua City, Changhua County, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways. It is located at the southern junction of the Taichung line and Coastal line, where the line continues onto the southern section of the West Coast line. Chengzhui Line
The Chengzhui line () is a line of the Taiwan Railways Administration connecting the Taichung line at Chenggong station to the West Coast line at Zhuifen station, forming a wye. Currently, only local services run through the Chengzhui Line, make a direct connect beteeen stations on Mountain line and stations on Coastal line and 11.8 km shorter of travel route and without needed to transfer at Changhua station, saving about 10 minutes travel time and waiting time while transfer at Changhua station. Qidu Station
Qidu () is a railway station in Keelung, Taiwan served by the Taiwan Railways Administration. History The station was opened in 1891, during Qing rule. It serves the area of Qidu. In Japanese rule, the station name was pronounced as Shichito in Japanese, then romanisation as Chitu after WWII until 2003. It is now the origin station for most of the southbound trains on the West Coast line, after the new station was completed in 2007.
