OHSAA
The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. The OHSAA governs eligibility of student athletes, resolves disputes, organizes levels of competition by divisional separation of schools according to attendance population, and conducts state championship competitions in all the OHSAA-sanctioned sports. Membership There are approximately 820 member high schools and 850 more schools in the 7th-8th grade division of the OHSAA. Most public and private high schools in Ohio belong to the OHSAA. Structure Districts The Association is divided into six districts, each with its own District Athletic Board, including the Central District, East District, Northeast District, Northwest District, Southeast District, and Southwest District. Miami Valley Christian Academy
Miami Valley Christian Academy is a private, non-denominational Christian school located on the east side of Cincinnati in Newtown, Ohio, United States. MVCA educates children aged Preschool - 12th Grade. The curriculum provides college preparatory academic instruction from a Biblical worldview. Summit Country Day School
The Summit Country Day School is a private, Roman Catholic, PreK–12 co-educational school located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2021, enrollment is 1,055 students from ages 18 months through 12th grade. Although located within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, the school is run by the board of trustees and head of school. Background The Summit Country Day School was founded in 1890 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur as a school for girls. The Summit Boys Middle School opened in 1941 and the upper school began admitting boys in 1972. In 1980, the school became a private, Catholic, independent school when an independent board of trustees assumed operations. Edward Tyrrell was named headmaster, the first layperson to lead the school, and retired in 2003 after 33 years of service to the Summit. The Seven Hills School is a PreK–12 private school in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It was established in 1974 with roots dating back to 1906 and operates on two campuses; Hillsdale (PreK–12) and Doherty (PreK–5). Roger Bacon High School
Roger Bacon High School is a high school in St. Bernard, Ohio, United States, based in the Franciscan tradition. This high school was dedicated in 1928, and was under the administration of and staffed by the Brothers and Priests of the Order of Friars Minor, and lay men and women. The school was named in honor of Roger Bacon, a Franciscan friar and English philosopher who placed considerable emphasis on empiricism, and has been presented as one of the earliest advocates of the modern scientific method. Our Lady of Angels High School was the sister school to Roger Bacon, and was located several hundred yards northeast from campus. OLA was also dedicated in 1928, and due to changing demographics and smaller enrollment, closed its doors for good after the graduating class of 1984. Norwood High School is a high school in Norwood, Ohio which has been rated Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education. It is the only high school in the Norwood City School District.
