Miami Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club in Miami, Florida. According to rankings in ''Rugby Magazine'', Miami is amongst the top five clubs in the Southeastern United States. They have regularly won the Florida State Championship. Miami Rugby traces its origin to 1969 when it was founded by Keith Cooksy and Reverend John Howells, the Anglican priest at the University of Miami, who wanted to provide visiting British Royal Navy ships and teams in the Bahamas with competitive rugby. Miami Rugby competes in the USA Rugby South against clubs from Florida, as well as touring African, Argentine, British, French, German, Uruguayan, and West Indies Clubs. Miami Rugby has also toured the Americas. Miami Rugby players come from all over the globe. Players from Miami Rugby have captained the United States Eagles and represented the Eastern Rugby Union, USA Rugby-South as well as Florida on select side (all-star) teams. HMS ''Fearless'' (L10) was a Royal Navy amphibious assault ship that served from 1965 until 2002. One of two s, she was based in HMNB ''Portsmouth'' and saw service around the world over her 37-year life. She was the last steam-powered surface ship in the Royal Navy. Role The landing platform docks (LPD) supported a Royal Marines amphibious assault force and provided a platform for the Headquarters capability prior to, and during, the assault phase. The Royal Marines served aboard as the 4th Assault Squadron. The United Hospitals Rugby Football Club represents the five medical schools in London, each of whom have their own distinct rugby clubs but from whom are picked a select fifteen to compete for UHRFC. Old Illtydians Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from the city of Cardiff, Wales. The club is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and is a feeder club for the Cardiff Blues. The club also runs mini and junior sides. Old Illtydians were formed in September 1928 as Saint Illtyds Old Boys Rugby Club. St. Illtyds school was opened in 1924 and therefore had a limited range of 'old boys' to choose from. This resulted in a team with an average age of seventeen. The school used various grounds until 1932 when they secured the use of the Blackweir pitch, a ground they would play from for the next thirty five years. Due to the club's connections to St. Illtyds school the team managed to keep playing for all but two years during the Second World War. Boston Rugby Football Club (also known as BRFC) is a rugby union team based in Boston, Massachusetts, US. The Jamaica national rugby union team represents Jamaica in the sport of rugby union. The team has thus far not qualified for a Rugby World Cup but has participated in qualifying tournaments. HMS ''Diomede'' (F16) was a of the Royal Navy. She was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders in Glasgow. ''Diomede'' was launched on 15 April 1969 and commissioned on 2 April 1971. The Public School Wanderers Club is a sports club in the United Kingdom that was formed in 1940 by Charles Burton, a Fleet Street journalist. It was formed to provide cricket and rugby for public schoolboys during their school holidays, but with difficulties arising from World War II the Club started to provide games for servicemen as well.
