Mexico City Metrobús Line 7
The Mexico City Metrobús Line 7 is a bus rapid transit line in the Mexico City Metrobús. It operates between Campo Marte in the Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City, Miguel Hidalgo Boroughs of Mexico City, borough and Indios Verdes, in Gustavo A. Madero, Mexico City, Gustavo A. Madero in the northern part of the city. This is the newest line, inaugurated in March 2018. The line, known as ''Corredor Reforma'', runs through Paseo de la Reforma, Calzada de los Misterios and Prolongación de los Misterios. Line 7 was inaugurated by Miguel Ángel Mancera, List of heads of government of Mexico City, Head of Government of the Federal District from 2012 to 2018. The line had a cost of 2.8 billion pesos. The line has 31 stations and a total length of 15 kilometers. Paseo De La Reforma
Paseo de la Reforma (translated as "Promenade of the Reform") is a wide avenue that runs diagonally across the heart of Mexico City. It was designed at the behest of Emperor Maximilian by Ferdinand von Rosenzweig during the era of the Second Mexican Empire and modeled after the great boulevards of Europe, such as the Ringstraße in Vienna and the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The planned grand avenue was to link the National Palace with the imperial residence, Chapultepec Castle, which was then on the southwestern edge of town. The project was originally named Paseo de la Emperatriz ("Promenade of the Empress") in honor of Maximilian's consort Empress Carlota. After the fall of the Empire and Maximilian's subsequent execution, the Restored Republic renamed the Paseo in honor of the La Reforma. The Tren Suburbano () is an electric suburban rail system in Mexico City. A pesero, combi, micro or microbús is a form of public transport, most commonly seen in Mexico City. Its name derives from the fact that in the beginning of this form of transport a flat fee of one peso was charged per ride (hence the name "pesero" which could be interpreted as "peso collector").
