''Limite'' (, Portuguese for "limit" or "border") is a film by Brazilian director and writer Mário Peixoto (1908–1992), filmed in 1930 and first screened in 1931. Cited by some as the greatest of all Brazilian films, this 120-minute, silent, and experimental feature by novelist and poet Peixoto, who never completed another film, was seen by Orson Welles and won the admiration of many, including Sergei Eisenstein, Georges Sadoul, and Walter Salles. In 2015, it was voted number 1 on the Abraccine Top 100 Brazilian films list. Hondo River (Belize)
The Hondo River or Río Hondo () is a river of Central America, approximately long, which flows in a northeasterly direction to discharge into Chetumal Bay on the Caribbean Sea. Most of the international border between the nations of Mexico and Belize runs along its length. The river is formed from the confluences of several upper tributaries, such as Blue Creek and Chan Chich (Rio Bravo) which have their sources in Guatemala's Petén Basin region, and Booth's River which originates in the western Belizean district of Orange Walk. These tributaries join to form the Hondo River near the settlements of Blue Creek Village, on the Belizean side, and La Unión on the Mexican side. The river continues its northeastern course with few other settlements along its length until reaching its outlet in Chetumal Bay. Garitas In Mexico
Garitas or retenes (singular: ''retén'') are federal inspection stations operated by the Mexican government. They are officially known as "garitas de revisión" (checkpoints). They are usually located within of the national border with the United States, Belize, and Guatemala. They function as immigration checkpoints, where documents and cargo are to be inspected. The United States Border Patrol operates a similar series of checkpoints. These are also referred to as garitas by the Latin American community. Río Suchiate
The Suchiate River ( es, Río Suchiate, ) is a river that marks the southwesternmost part of the border between Mexico (state of Chiapas) and Guatemala (department of San Marcos). From its sources on the southern slopes of the Tacaná volcano in the Sierra Madre range of Guatemala, the river flows in a south-southwesterly direction to the border with Mexico at Unión Juárez (), past the border towns Talismán and El Carmen, and then Ciudad Tecún Umán and Ciudad Hidalgo (Chiapas) further downstream, where the Puente Rodolfo Robles and a railway bridge cross the river, and on to the Pacific Ocean. Its name comes from the Nahuatl name ''Xochiatl'' meaning "flower-water". The pre-Columbian archaeological site of Izapa lies along the river. Salinas River (Guatemala)
The Salinas is a river in Guatemala. The river is called Río Negro from its sources (located at ) in the highlands of Huehuetenango and El Quiché until it reaches the Chixoy hydroelectric dam (located at ), where the Río Salama and Rio Carchela converge with the Río Negro. After the Chixoy dam, the river is called Río Chixoy and flows northwards through Alta Verapaz until it reaches the border with Mexico. From there on it continues along the border for as the Salinas river until it finally converges with the Río de la Pasión (at ) to form the Usumacinta river which flows into the Gulf of Mexico. Guatemala's National Institute for Electricity (INDE) is planning the construction of a new hydroelectric dam on the Chixoy river. Río Usumacinta
The Usumacinta River (; named after the howler monkey) is a river in southeastern Mexico and northwestern Guatemala.
