Mette Nord
Mette Nord (born 14 January 1959) is a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party. She hails from Porsgrunn. She is a practical nurse by vocation, and became leader of the Telemark branch of the Norwegian Association of Health and Social Care Personnel. When this trade union merged in 2003 to form the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees, she became deputy leader of the Telemark branch. She was elected national board member in 2005, deputy leader in 2009 and leader in 2013. She was elected as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Telemark Telemark is a traditional region, a former county, and a current electoral district in southern Norway. Stoltenberg's Second Cabinet was the Government of Norway from 17 October 2005 to 16 October 2013. It was a coalition between the Labour Party, the Socialist Left Party and the Centre Party, known as the Red–Green Coalition. On 9 September 2013, the coalition was defeated in the 2013 election. The cabinet had ten members from the Labour Party, five from the Socialist Left Party and four from the Centre Party. It replaced Bondevik's Second Cabinet following the 2005 parliamentary election where the three parties won a majority in parliament. Jan Davidsen (born 24 July 1950) is a Norwegian trade unionist. He is a firefighter by vocation and worked as such in Bergen. He was elected to the leadership in the Norwegian Union of Municipal Employees in 1985, became deputy leader in 1990 and leader in 1994.
