Metropolitan Police is a subnational unit of Bangladesh Police. There are eight unit in eight metropolis area in Bangladesh. This unit was formed in 1976 by establishing of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is the unit of Bangladesh Police responsible for law enforcement in the metropolis of Dhaka, the national capital and most populous city in Bangladesh. Chattogram Metropolitan Police
Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), former Chittagong Metropolitan Police, is the chief law enforcement agency in Chattogram, the second largest city in Bangladesh. It was established in 1978 under the Chittagong Metropolitan Police Ordinance approved by the Government of Bangladesh.
