Metn
Matn ( ar, قضاء المتن, '), sometimes spelled Metn (or preceded by the article El, as in El Matn), is a district (''qadaa'') in the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon, east of the Lebanon's capital Beirut. The district capital is Jdeideh (followed to Jdeideh, Bouchrieh, El Sedd Municipality). Matn is one of the most popular areas in Lebanon, with its rich scenery and its splendid view of the Mediterranean. Matn's population is almost entirely Christian with some Druze in the region, mostly in Beit Mery, Broummana, Mtein and Zarooun. Bteghrine From Haret Ali
Bteghrine ( ar, بتغرين, also spelled Bteghrin and Btighrin) is a municipality in the Matn District of the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon. Etymology The exact origin of the town name ''Bteghrine'' is unknown, but possibilities include ''Place of Warriors'', ''Place of Rocks'', and ''House of the Saddest'' - references to a large battle in the area around 1290 that resulted in thousands of deaths. Mazraat Yachouh
Mazraat Yachouh ( ar, مزرعة يشوع, french: Municipalité de Mazraat Yachoua), also spelled Mazraat Yachouaa, is a municipality in the Matn District of the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon, situated approximately 16km east of Beirut. In 2006, the municipality had two public schools and one private school, with an enrollment of 299 and 218 students, respectively.
