Antonia Mesina
Antonia Mesina (21 June 1919 - 17 May 1935) was an Italian people, Italian Roman Catholic Church, Roman Catholic and part of Catholic Action. Mesina was murdered in mid-1935 after she attempted to fend off a would-be rapist and suffered 74 strikes with a stone before she died. Life Antonia Mesina was born on 21 June 1919 as the second of ten children born to the poor policeman Agostino Mesina and Grazia Rubanu. She was baptized in the local parish church of Saint Peter. She received her Confirmation on 10 November 1920 and received her First Communion in 1926 from the local bishop. Once she completed her initial education - which spanned a brief period of time - she took over housekeeping at home in order to assist her bedridden mother who suffered from a heart condition. She took care of the household including the care of her siblings as well as cooking and cleaning and washing. Antonio Mesina (born 11 January 1993) is an Italian footballer who plays as a forward for Costa Orientale Sarda in Serie D. Career Mesina spent the majority of his early career being loaned about Sardinia, finally settling at Castiadas in 2017. In his first season with the club, Mesina scored 23 league goals, which led to him being crowned the top scorer of the Eccellenza, Italy's fifth tier. In July 2019, Masina moved to Serie C club Arezzo. He made his league debut for the club on 25 August 2019, coming on as an 85th minute substitute for Aniello Cutolo in a 3–1 home victory over Lecco. Graziano Mesina (; born 4 April 1942), also popularly known as ''Gratzianeddu'' in Sardinian language, is an Italian bandit of the Anonima sarda. He has escaped the authorities at least 10 times. He was called the "king of the kidnappers" by ''The New York Times'' in 1992. There have been books, songs, and at least one film about him. Biography Mesina's father was a shepherd in the Barbagia region of Sardinia. In 1956, Mesina was first arrested at the age of 14 for having a stolen rifle. Four years later, he was again arrested again, for shooting in a public place. He was released that same year, but shortly arrested and sent back to prison for attempted murder. He escaped from a prison train in 1962, but was re-captured. That same year he escaped again, this time from a prison hospital.
