Meryl Cassie
Meryl Danielle Cassie (born 2 April 1984) is a New Zealand actress and singer. She has three children, a son, Rylon born in 2006 and two daughters Breeze (Born 18 October 2013) and Diaz (born 2015). She is most famous for her role as Ebony in the sci-fi series '' The Tribe'', but has also appeared in other series, such as ''Revelations - The Initial Journey'', ''Shortland Street'' and ''Hercules''. She is also a talented singer, and sung the theme song of ''The Tribe'' from season 2 to 5, including being the lead singer on '' Abe Messiah'', an album inspired from ''The Tribe''. Along with her sisters Megan Alatini and Monique Cassie, she formed a band called the Nubian Angels in her early teens. Peter Wadams, better known by his stage name P-Money, is a New Zealand hip-hop DJ and producer. One of his best-known works is "Everything", featuring New Zealand R&B singer Vince Harder, which reached number one on the New Zealand Singles Chart for three weeks in 2008; however, he is probably best known for his recordings with Scribe, including the 2003 smash hit "Not Many". The first series of the New Zealand television reality music competition ''The X Factor'' premiered on TV3 on 21 April 2013 and ended on 22 July 2013. The show was open to singers aged 14 and over. The contestants were split into the show's four traditional categories: Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups. The winner was 22-year-old Greymouth singer Jackie Thomas, and her winner's single, " It's Worth It", was released the day of the final. As the winner, Thomas received a Sony Music Entertainment New Zealand recording contract and a new car. Runners-up Whenua Patuwai and Benny Tipene each released a single via Sony. ''The Jono Project'' was a satirical news and entertainment show hosted by Jono Pryor. The show aired in New Zealand on Monday nights, on C4 in 2010, then TV3 in 2011. The show combined pre-filmed sketches, pranks and parodies linked together by segments filmed in front of a small studio audience; and was preceded by ''Jono's New Show''.
