Meryl Silverburgh
is a video game character in the ''Metal Gear'' series by Hideo Kojima. She was originally a character from the 1994 Konami adventure game ''Policenauts'', which was directed by Hideo Kojima. After her original appearance, she was redesigned and reintroduced in ''Metal Gear Solid'' as Solid Snake's partner. Character design Meryl Silverburgh in the ''Metal Gear'' series is based on a supporting character of the same name in Hideo Kojima's earlier game, ''Policenauts'' (1994), where Meryl was originally designed by Tomiharu Kinoshita. Meryl Davis (born January 1, 1987) is a former competitive American ice dancer. With partner Charlie White, she is the 2014 Olympic champion, the 2010 Olympic silver medalist, a two-time (2011, 2013) World champion, five-time Grand Prix Final champion (2009–2013), three-time Four Continents champion (2009, 2011, 2013) and six-time U.S. national champion (2009–2014). Meryl Tankard is an Australian dancer and choreographer who has a wide national and international reputation. Early life and education Tankard's father served in the Royal Australian Air Force and the family moved to various bases during her early years. She was born in Darwin, but had her first dance lessons in Melbourne. Several years later the family moved to Penang, Malaysia and was influenced by Malaysia's colour and ceremony. Weerahennedige Theodore Wilfred Meryl Fernando (18 April 1923 – 27 May 2007) was a Ceylonese teacher, trade unionist, politician and Member of Parliament. Early life and family Fernando was born on 18 April 1923. He was educated at Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa. She first became interested in flying while in college, and persisted despite a bout of airsickness during her first flying lesson.
