William Merrill McCormick (February 5, 1892 – August 19, 1953) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 250 films between 1916 and 1953. William Merrill McCormick was born on February 5, 1892, in Denver, Colorado. McCormick appeared in films like ''The Last Chance'' (1926) as Black Bart, ''The Prisoner of Shark Island'', '' Oh, Susanna!'', ''Heroes of the Alamo'' as one of the Alamo's defenders, ''Stagecoach'', ''Dodge City'', ''Man of Conquest'', ''Dick Tracy's G-Men'', ''San Antonio'', and '' Buffalo Bill in Tomahawk Territory''. ''Robin Hood'' is a 1922 silent adventure film starring Douglas Fairbanks and Wallace Beery. It was the first motion picture ever to have a Hollywood premiere, held at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre on October 18, 1922. ''Fangs of Fate'' is a 1925 American silent Western film directed by Horace B. Carpenter and starring Bill Patton, Dorothy Donald, and Ivor McFadden. Plot As described in a film magazine review, outlaws terrorize the town of Arcady, Arizona. Bob Haynes, a stranger, is attracted by Azalia Bolton, daughter of a boarding house keeper, and protects her from some drunken rowdies. She inspires him to change his life to the better. Sheriff Dan Dodo Briggs offers to make Bob a deputy, but he declines. Plot As described in a film magazine review, Bill Swift goes to work on Captain Randall's ranch, and finds that he is in love with Randall's daughter Helen.
