Mercy Asiedu (born 9 May 1971) is a Ghanaian veteran actress who has contributed to the growth of the movie industry. She is known for the role she played in '' Concert Party'' and ''Asoreba''. She is also known as being one of the popular ''Kumawood'' actresses starring in several roles in the 2000s. Career She began acting when she was a teenager, as part of the Kristo Asafor Concert Party group. She is known for the controversial roles she has played in movies. Kumasi (historically spelled Comassie or Coomassie, usually spelled Kumase in Twi) is a city in the Ashanti Region, and is among the largest metropolitan areas in Ghana. Kofi Adu (born May 25, 1969),is originally from the Ashanti Region of Ghana but lived in a suburb in Accra Newtown called Asantewaa, also known as Agya Koo, is an actor and comedian from Ghana. He has appeared in over 200 Ghanaian movies including ''Obaatanpa'', ''Away Bus'', ''Black Star'', and ''Ma Tricki Wo''. Kwadwo Nkansah (born 15 April 1987), professionally known as Lil Win, is a Ghanaian artist, musician, actor, and comedian. He is the founder and director of Great Minds International School in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Early life He was born to Madam Adwoa Afrah and Mr. Kwadwo Boadi Nkansah. National Democratic Congress (Ghana)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana, founded by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of State of Ghana from 1981 to 1993 and the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981, there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy. The NDC was formed as the ruling party ahead of elections in 1992, in which Rawlings was elected president, and in 1996 Rawlings was re-elected as the NDC candidate. Rawlings' second term ended in 2001. The NDC lost the presidency in the 2000 election, and it was not until the 2008 election, that they regained it with John Atta Mills as its candidate.
