Meirav ( he, מֵירַב) is a religious kibbutz in northern Israel. Located on the downward slopes of Mount Gilboa around ten kilometres southwest of Beit She'an and less than 500 metres from the Green Line, it falls under the jurisdiction of Valley of Springs Regional Council. Meirav Ben-Ari ( he, מֵירַב בֶּן־אֲרִי‎, born 13 November 1975) is an Israeli politician. She currently serves as a member of the Knesset for Yesh Atid and was previously a member of the Knesset for Kulanu between 2015 and 2019. Biography Ben-Ari was born in Raanana and moved to Netanya with her family as a child. Her father, Rafael Ben-Ari (originally Ayubi) was an Iranian-Jewish immigrant to Israel and her mother, Esther Ben-Ari (née Sa'adon) was a native-born Israeli of Libyan-Jewish origin. Merav Ben-David ( he, מירב בן-דוד; born 17 January 1959) is an Israeli-American ecologist, zoologist, and politician who is the Chair of the Department of Zoology and Physiology at the University of Wyoming. She was the Democratic nominee in the 2020 United States Senate election in Wyoming, losing to former Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis in the general election. She ran for State Representative from Wyoming's 46th district in 2022. Early life and education Ben-David was born to a Jewish family in Rehovot, and raised on a farm near Rishon LeZion. She is a member of the Knesset for Yesh Atid, was an MK for the Blue and White alliance from 2019 to 2021 and served as Minister for Social Equality from May 2020 to January 2021.
