Menno Boelsma (8 January 1961 – 10 September 2022) was a Dutch speed skater Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates. Types of speed skating are long track speed skating, short track speed skating, and marathon speed skating. .... He competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics in the 500 m and 1000 m events and finished in 16th and 24th place, respectively. Boelsma achieved his best results in the 500 m, winning a national title in 1986 and a silver medal at the World Cup in Davos in 1990. Monster is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Westland, and lies about south-west of The Hague.
