Marília Dias Mendonça (; 22 July 1995 – 5 November 2021) was a Brazilian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. She is posthumously recognized in Brazil as the 'queen of sofrência', a subgenre of sertanejo music, and has been recognized for her contribution to female empowerment by revolutionizing the universe of sertanejo music. In 2015, she released her self-titled debut EP. She rose to prominence after releasing her first eponymous live album in 2016, which was certified triple platinum in Brazil for selling 240,000 copies. Henrique Lopes de Mendonça (3 July 1856 – 24 August 1931) was a Portuguese poet, playwright, novelist, novella and short story writer, and naval officer. Ana De Mendonça
Ana de Mendonça (1460-1542) was a maid of the Queen regnant of Castile, Joanna la Beltraneja, and a mistress of King John II of Portugal, who was also Master of the Order of Saint James 1470-1492. They had one son, Jorge de Lencastre, Duke of Coimbra and Master of the Military Order of Saint James of the Sword. He married D. Isabel Colón's sister-in-law. António Manuel Viana Mendonça (born 9 October 1982) is an Angolan retired footballer who played as a right winger. Jorge Pinto Mendonça (June 6, 1954 – February 17, 2006) was a Brazilian footballer during the 1970s and 1980s, playing in a striker role. Career Born in Silva Jardim, he scored 417 goals during his career (1972–1991). With Brazilian team he played 6 official games without scoring any goals (he was Zico reserve in 1978 FIFA World Cup). He won the São Paulo State Championship in 1976 and was the top goalscorer in the same tournament in 1981 - 38 goals by Guarani. After he retired he suffered of financial, healthy and familiar problems. However, in his last years, he directed a childcare project of Guarani.
