Menards 200
Various ARCA Menards Series races have been held at Toledo Speedway since 1953. Prior to 2020, these races were part of the ARCA Menards Series schedule for decades before a planned move to the ARCA Menards Series East schedule after the unification of NASCAR's East and West Series with the ARCA Menards Series, with the East race to be known as the Herr's Potato Chips 200. However, due to the impact of COVID-19, two additional races were held at Toledo as part of the 2020 ARCA Menards Series (the Menards.com 200 and Menards 200), with a third campanion event between the 2020 ARCA Menards Series and the 2020 ARCA Menards Series East, called the Royal Truck & Trailer 200. ARCA Menards Series East
The ARCA Menards Series East (formerly Busch East Series, Busch North Series, Camping World East Series, and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East) is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). Races are held at oval tracks ranging from in length and on two road courses, in length. Most races are stand-alone events (i.e. not in conjunction with other NASCAR touring series), but there are three race weekends that are in combination with the NASCAR Cup Series. Many of the ARCA Menards Series East drivers on the series are gaining experience with the hopes of moving up to one of the major NASCAR series, however some of the drivers are right at home in the series and have no plans of moving on. Bill Rexford
William J. "Bill" Rexford (March 14, 1927 – April 18, 1994) was a stock car driver in the early 1950s. He is best remembered for winning the 1950 NASCAR Grand National Series championship at only 23 years old. Rexford currently holds the distinction as NASCAR's youngest Cup Champion. Biography Born in Conewango Valley, New York to Kermit and Edith Rexford, Rexford made his name driving stock cars in Western New York. He got his introduction at a young age as his father owned a Chevrolet dealership in the village. At age 16, he made his racing debut at a nearby track in Leon, New York. After he turned 18, he stopped his racing career to join the United States Navy during World War II, during that time, he was stationed in Newport, Rhode Island. Nelson Stacy
Nelson Stacy (December 28, 1921 – May 14, 1986) was an American race car driver from Maysville, Kentucky. He won the 1958, 1959, and 1960 MARC Series (now ARCA Menards Series) championships. He also won four NASCAR Grand National Series races in 1961 and 1962, including the 1961 Southern 500 at Darlington Speedway and the 1962 World 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Early life Stacy was originally from Kentucky. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Tank driver in the U.S. Third Army under the command of General George S. Patton. Early career In 1952, Stacy made his first NASCAR Grand National Series start at Dayton Speedway. After a 12th-place finish out of 30 cars, he decided it would be best to drive in the MARC Series (later the ARCA Remax Series).
