Men From Earth
''Men from Earth'' is the fourth album by American country rock band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Founding band member Randle Chowning left to go solo after ''The Car Over The Lake Album'' and was replaced by Rune Walle in time for "Men From Earth". The album includes a pair of standout Larry Lee tunes, the romantic "You Know Like I Know" and the hard-country "Homemade Wine". As their previous album had contained an EP called ''The Little Red Record'', this release featured the even rarer '' The Little Red Record 2'' that contained two additional songs: "Roscoe's Rule" and "A Dollar's Worth Of Regular". These two tracks were included in the 2002 CD release of the album, along with "Better Days", which had only been released as the B side of their "Jackie Blue" single in late 1974. The Ozark Mountain Daredevils
The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are an American rock band formed in 1972 in Springfield, Missouri. They are most widely known for their singles " If You Wanna Get to Heaven" in 1974 and "Jackie Blue" in 1975. Bassist Michael "Supe" Granda has also written a book about the band, ''It Shined.'' Name According to the book ''It Shined'' by Michael Granda, the band name was derived from "Cosmic Corn Cob & His Amazing Ozark Mountain Daredevils", a name that John Dillon came up with at a Kansas City "naming party" after the band was told that the name they had previously been using, "Family Tree", was already taken. The band shortened the name because none of the band members at the time wanted to be called "Cosmic Corn Cob", and they did not want the name to sound similar to the Amazing Rhythm Aces. Bobbye Jean Hall is an American percussionist who has recorded with a variety of rock, soul, blues and jazz artists, and has appeared on 20 songs that reached the top ten in the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Early career, work for Motown and move to Los Angeles Bobbye Jean Hall was born in Detroit, Michigan, and began her career there playing percussion in nightclubs while still in her teens. While playing at the 20 Grand nightclub in 1961 she was approached by Motown arranger Paul Riser to play on a recording session. Using bongos, congas and other percussion, she played uncredited on many Motown recordings in the 1960s. Stephen Douglas Cash (May 5, 1946 – October 13, 2019) was an American musician, most notable as a founding and continual member of the rock band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Biography Born in Springfield, Missouri, Cash received his undergraduate education at the University of Missouri, where he was a member of the Zeta Phi chapter of Beta Theta Pi Beta Theta Pi (), commonly known as Beta, is a North American social fraternity that was founded in 1839 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. One of North America's oldest fraternities, as of 2022 it consists of 144 active chapters in the Unite ....
