''Memory Hole 1'' consists of an 80-minute radio program that Kevin Moore Kevin Moore (born May 26, 1967) is an American keyboardist, composer, and founder of the Chroma Key music project. He is also a former member of the American progressive metal/ rock band Dream Theater, co-founder of the progressive rock supe ... did for Radio For Peace International, combined with ambient, electronic and muzak music in the background. The album was made along with other collaborators: some monologues were recorded by Bob Nekrasov in Ciudad Colon. Daniel Beierstettel, and Theron Patterson contributed with music to some tracks. Radio samples were contributed by Radio For Peace International station owner James Latham. Music from Múm, Fela Kuti and The Who were sampled in some tracks. Kevin Moore
Kevin Moore (born May 26, 1967) is an American keyboardist, composer, and founder of the Chroma Key music project. He is also a former member of the American progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater, co-founder of the progressive rock supergroup O.S.I., and a composer of film soundtracks. Throughout his career, he has become known for his emotional music and lyrics, nomadic lifestyle and use of spoken word samples. Moore started his music career in progressive metal band Dream Theater. He contributed music and lyrics to the band's first three studio albums, but left the band during the mixing process of ''Awake'' to pursue his own musical interests. Starting with 1998's ''Dead Air for Radios'', he has released electronica, ambient music through his solo project Chroma Key. Moore has guested on several albums, including three Fates Warning albums. Muzak
Muzak is an American brand of background music played in retail stores and other public establishments. The name has been in use since 1934, and has been owned by a division or subsidiary of one or another company ever since. In 1981, Westinghouse bought the company and ran it until selling it to the Fields Company of Chicago, publishers of the ''Chicago Sun-Times'', on September 8, 1986. Track listing All music and lyrics by Kevin Moore, except "The Fucking Mouse" lyrics by Todd Farrington. Song information "Hay Day. May Day. Help", "Roll Away The Stone", "Nora", "Shallow" and "Hollow" are the remastered versions of songs previously released on Moore's demo tape titled ''Music Meant to Be Heard'', which was distributed through Dream Theater fan clubs in 1995. "Hay Day. May Day. Help" was titled "Normal Words" on the original demo. "Wednesday The Sky" is musically an early version of the song "S.O.S" from Chroma Key's first album ''Dead Air for Radios'', although lyrically it's completely different.
