Memory Crash
''Memory Crash'' is the third studio album by guitarist and songwriter Steve Stevens, released on January 29, 2008, through Magna Carta Records. Background Memory Crash comes some eight years after Stevens' previous solo album, ''Flamenco A Go-Go''. It is a mostly instrumental album with help from Doug Pinnick of King's X, and featuring drummer Brian Tichy. Stevens and Tichy had previously worked together with Billy Idol. Musical genres and influences Stevens has put a lot of "weird little segues" into this album, a feature that has impressed him from albums such as Pink Floyd's ''Dark Side of the Moon''. Other influences include Jimi Hendrix, particularly on Stevens' interpretation of Robin Trower's '' Day of the Eagle'', as well as Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, and even Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Bo Diddley, and Jeff Beck. Steve Stevens
Steve Stevens (born Steven Bruce Schneider; May 5, 1959) is an American guitarist. He is best known as Billy Idol's guitarist and songwriting collaborator, and for his lead guitar work on the theme to ''Top Gun'' – "Top Gun Anthem" – for which he won a Grammy Awards, Grammy in 1987: Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance, Best Pop Instrumental Performance. Stevens has played for Michael Jackson, Ric Ocasek, Robert Palmer (singer), Robert Palmer, and many others. Stevens was in Vince Neil's band from 1992 to 1994, touring and recording on his album ''Exposed (Vince Neil album), Exposed''. Stevens was a founding member of the supergroup Bozzio Levin Stevens, which released ''Black Light Syndrome'' in 1997 and ''Situation Dangerous'' in 2000. Bridge Of Sighs (Robin Trower Album)
''Bridge of Sighs'' is the second solo album by the English guitarist and songwriter Robin Trower. Released in 1974, it was his second album after leaving Procol Harum, and was a commercial breakthrough for Trower. Songs such as "Bridge of Sighs", "Too Rolling Stoned", "Day of the Eagle" and "Little Bit of Sympathy" became live concert staples. History The album was produced by organist Matthew Fisher, formerly Trower's bandmate in Procol Harum. Acclaimed Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick was this album's sound engineer. In an interview with Guitar World, Trower explained how the album got its title. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. ''Rebel Yell'' is the second studio album by English rock singer Billy Idol, released on 10 November 1983 by Chrysalis Records. After the release of his 1982 eponymous debut album, Idol continued his collaboration with producer Keith Forsey and multi-instrumentalist Steve Stevens. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York. Initially recording without a drummer, utilizing only the electronic drum machines LinnDrum and Roland TR-808, Forsey and Stevens later decided to hire Thommy Price to play drums on some of the songs. Musically, ''Rebel Yell'' is a rock album with a strong influence of new wave music. The cover sleeve and images were shot by Brian Griffin. Geoffrey Arnold Beck (born 24 June 1944) is an English rock guitarist. He rose to prominence with the Yardbirds and after fronted the Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice. Ellas McDaniel (born Ellas Otha Bates; December 30, 1928 – June 2, 2008), known professionally as Bo Diddley, was an American guitarist who played a key role in the transition from the blues to rock and roll.
