Sassuolo
Sassuolo (; egl, label=Modenese dialect, Modenese, Sasól ) is an Italian town, ''comune'', and industrial centre of the Province of Modena in Emilia-Romagna. Standing on the right bank of the river Secchia some southwest of Modena, the town is best known for being the centre of the Italian tile industry and for being the home town of Serie A side U.S. Sassuolo Calcio. Etymology The exact origin of the toponym ''Sassuolo'' is unclear. One theory is that it might derive from the abundant deposits of petroleum found in the area. This is because petroleum was anciently known as "''stone oil''" or "''olio di sasso''" in Italian, from which the composite word Sassuolo (''sasso + olio'') may have been created. Another hypothesis is that the name derives from the Latin words ''saxum solum'' meaning "''rocky soil''". João Frederico Limpo Franco Gil (born 24 March 1985), known as Fred Gil (), is a retired Portuguese professional tennis player, who currently competes in the ITF Men's Circuit. He is ranked no. 432 in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), as of 10 April 2017. Gil made some Portuguese tennis major breakthroughs during his career. At the 2010 Estoril Open, he was the first Portuguese to reach an ATP Tour final, and in April 2011, he achieved a career-high singles world ranking of 62 – the highest ever for a Portuguese player until he was surpassed by Rui Machado in September that same year. Diego Moyano (born 14 March 1975) is a former professional tennis player from Argentina. Diego is coaching Coco Gauff. He coached previously Kevin Anderson from 2020 until his retirement in May 2022. Leonardo Azzaro (; born 30 May 1978) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. Career Azzaro won a silver medal for Italy at the 2001 Mediterranean Games in Tunisia. He defeated Slovenian Marko Tkalec in the semi-final, before losing the gold medal play-off to Konstantinos Economidis of Greece. The left-handed player appeared in the main draw of three Grand Slams, all in the Men's Doubles, but never made it past the first round. Federico Luzzi
Federico Luzzi (3 January 1980 – 25 October 2008) was an Italian professional tennis player who had been ranked as high as World No. 92. Luzzi had been suspended from professional tennis in 2008 for six months after a determination was made that he had gambled on the outcome of matches over a three-year span. He was diagnosed with leukemia on a Wednesday and died four days later. While he was on suspension and awaiting the outcome of the case he studied acting in Hollywood. He screen tested and was to return to Hollywood in 2009 to begin filming two movies. The FedeLux charity was founded in his honor, searching for a cure for cancer. Daniele Bracciali (; born 10 January 1978) is an Italian former tennis player, best ranked world no. 21 in doubles. His career-high ATP singles ranking is world no. 49, achieved in May 2006. In doubles, he reached the semifinals of the 2012 French Open and the quarterfinals of the 2013 Australian Open. In mixed doubles, he reached the semifinals of the 2012 Australian and French Opens. He was banned by the Italian Tennis Federation in 2015 for betting and did not play for several years, but returned in 2017. In November 2018, Bracciali was once again given a life ban having been found guilty by the Tennis Integrity Unit.
