Memetic (comic)
''Memetic'' is a 2014 comic book miniseries that was created by James Tynion IV, with art by Eryk Donovan and coloring by Adam Guzowski. The series was published monthly by BOOM! Studios as three oversized issues, beginning in October 2014. In October 2015, BOOM! Studios released all three issues, along with extra features from the writer and artist, in trade paperback form. Background Tynion IV came up with the idea for ''Memetic'' in 2012, when he was getting started in the comic book industry and wanted to create something along the lines of the horror genre. He describes ''Memetic'' as coming to him “fully formed,” and he further says that the pitch document from two years prior to the comic's publication looks very much the same as the final product. Horror comics are comic books, graphic novels, black-and-white comics magazines, and manga focusing on horror fiction. Boom! Studios (styled BOOM! Studios) is an American comic book and graphic novel publisher, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, United States. James Tynion IV (born December 14, 1987) is an American comic book writer. He is best known for his work on the Batman franchise at DC Comics, his DC Black Label series ''The Nice House on the Lake'' and his independent series '' Department of Truth'' and '' Something Is Killing the Children''. In 2022, he won three Eisner Awards for his work. He is also a nine-time nominee for the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book, the most nominations of any writer, winning once in 2016. Sloth
Sloths are a group of Neotropical xenarthran mammals constituting the suborder Folivora, including the extant arboreal tree sloths and extinct terrestrial ground sloths. Noted for their slowness of movement, tree sloths spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees of the tropical rainforests of South America and Central America. Mattson Tomlin (born July 16, 1990) is a filmmaker and writer. Career In 2018, Tomlin wrote the script for the '' Project Power'' (2020) for Netflix, starring Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Dominique Fishback. He scripted and produced the film '' Little Fish'' (2021), based on a short story by Aja Gabel. He gained attention in 2019 when he was brought onboard to assist with ''The Batman'' (2022). The GLAAD Media Award is an accolade bestowed by GLAAD to recognize and honor various branches of the media for their outstanding representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives.
