Ken Coghill
Kenneth Alistair Coghill (born 10 November 1944 in Mansfield, Victoria) is a former Australian politician. Life and career Educated at Caulfield Grammar School, Coghill studied Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne and worked as a veterinarian before serving on the Wodonga City Council. He entered the Victorian Legislative Assembly as a Labor Party Member for Werribee in the 1979 State elections, and served as the Speaker of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 1992. After retiring from Parliament in 1995, he earned a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne. He is currently an associate professor at Monash University. Tom Edmunds
Cyril Thomas Edmunds (24 October 1925 – 2 February 2003) was an Australian politician. He was born in Essendon to plumber Cyril Edmunds and Gertrude Victoria Jeffreys. He attended local state schools and served in the Royal Australian Air Force from 1943 to 1945, as a coxswain in the South Pacific Air Sea Rescue Service. On his return he became a lithographer, managing a printing factory. On 14 June 1952 he married Vivienne Amy Ballantine; they had three children. In 1952 he joined the Labor Party, and held several local offices. In 1967 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly as the member for Moonee Ponds; he would serve until 1988, transferring to Ascot Vale in 1976 and Pascoe Vale in 1988. Bill Ebery
William Thomas Ebery (31 August 1925 – 10 May 2017) was an Australian politician. He was born at Castlemaine, the son of grazier Francis Hamilton Ebery. He was a farmer and grazier in the Castlemaine area. On 17 February 1951 he married Anne Lorraine Evans; they had two children. In 1962 he joined the Liberal Party, becoming president of his local Newstead branch in 1973. In that year he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly as the member for Midlands. Electoral District Of South Barwon
South Barwon is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. Located in a mixed urban and rural area south of the Barwon River, it covers an area of 621 km², including the Geelong suburbs of Belmont and Grovedale, Waurn Ponds and part of Highton, the coastal centre of Torquay and the rural towns of Barrabool, Bellbrae, Connewarre, Gnarwarre, Modewarre, Moriac and Mount Moriac. The electorate had a population of 52,241 at the 2001 census. South Barwon was created in 1976 as a predominantly rural seat which was considered safe for the conservative Liberal Party. Harley Dickinson
Harley Rivers Dickinson (20 October 1938 – 4 April 2008) was an Australian politician. Dickinson was born in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond to Rivers Arthur Dickinson, a solicitor, and Dolina Marion Arbuckle. He attended Croydon State School and then The Geelong College, and graduated from the Australian School of Pacific Administration. He was part of a pioneer expedition to Mount Fubilan in Papua New Guinea in June 1958, and was an officer in the department of the Administrator of Papua and New Guinea until 1970. On 28 November 1964, he married Nicola Charlotte Nina Payne, with whom he had four children. In 1976, he returned to Australia to become assistant secretary of the Victorian Chamber of Manufacturers, farming at Bannockburn. John Albert "Jack" Culpin (4 October 1927 – 2 September 2014) was an Australian politician. Born in Collingwood to postal officer Albert Culpin and his wife Leura, he worked as an electrical fitter and was a shop steward with the Electrical Trades Union for twenty years.
