Melrose High School is a public high school located in Memphis, Tennessee, in the Orange Mound area, serving 1557 students in grades 9–12. The Wisconsin Herd are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and are affiliated with the Milwaukee Bucks. Barry Wilburn
Barry Todd Wilburn (born December 9, 1963) is a former professional American football player who was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the eighth round (219th overall) of the 1985 NFL Draft. A 6'3", 186-lb. cornerback from the University of Mississippi, Wilburn played in eight NFL seasons from 1985 to 1996 (he missed two seasons due to injury) and in two CFL seasons for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the British Columbia Lions. He played in one final season in 1999 for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before retiring. Professional career Wilburn started in Super Bowl XXII for the Redskins, and recorded two interceptions in their 42-10 victory. Wilburn retired with 20 career interceptions and five fumble recoveries. Sam Walton (American Football)
Samuel Thaw Walton (January 3, 1943 – May 9, 2002) was an American football tackle who played three seasons with the New York Jets and Houston Oilers. Adonis Michael Thomas (born March 25, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Bnei Herzliya of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Rochelle Stevens
Rochelle Stevens (born September 8, 1966 in Memphis, Tennessee) is a former 1996 Olympic gold medalist for the United States in the women's 4x400-meter relay. She was also part of the team that won the silver medal in the same event and 6th in the world at 400 meters at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Robert "Bingo" Smith (born February 26, 1946) is an American retired professional basketball player. He played for the San Diego Rockets, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the San Diego Clippers. College career Smith played for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's basketball, Tulsa Golden Hurricane. It was there where he got his nickname of Bingo to differentiate from the other two Bobby Smiths on the team. Ronnie Robinson (March 9, 1951 – May 8, 2004) was an American basketball player. Robinson played high school basketball at Memphis Melrose High School, where one of his teammates was his future college and professional teammate, Larry Finch. Robinson played college basketball in his hometown at Memphis State University. Robinson, Finch and Larry Kenon led Memphis State to the 1973 Final Four; the Tigers lost to the undefeated, Bill Walton-led UCLA Bruins in the Finals. Larry Riley (June 20, 1953 – June 6, 1992) was an American actor and musician, best known for his role as C.J. Memphis in the film '' A Soldier's Story'' (1984) and as Frank Williams in the prime-time TV soap opera '' Knots Landing''. Pat Neely (born July 20, 1964) is an American restaurateur, television personality, and author. He is the co-owner of Neely's Bar-B-Que restaurant in downtown Memphis, Tennessee.
