Dante Maggio (2 March 1909 – 3 March 1992) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 115 films between 1940 and 1975. Born in Naples into a family of actors, Maggio had a turbulent adolescence that led his father to send him in an institute for problematic minors. Giuseppe Porelli (24 November 1897 – 5 March 1982) was an Italian stage, film and television actor. Life and career Born Giuseppe Porcelli in Naples, he graduated from the Istituto Tecnico and became an employee of Ferrovie dello Stato. While there, he spent his free time involved in amateur dramatics. In 1918 he left his job to accept employment as a professional actor in the company of Irma Gramatica. Porelli later entered some of the most important stage companies of the time, specializing as a sidekick in revue shows. Active on films since 1926, he had an intense career as a character actor, mostly cast in roles of elegant and fashionable gentlemen in comedy films. He was married to the actress Rinalda Marchetti. Giovanni Grasso (11 November 1888 – 30 April 1963) was an Italian stage and film actor. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1910 and 1955. He was born and died in Catania, Sicily, Italy. Born into a family of marionettists, he was cousin and namesake of Giovanni Grasso, a respected stage actor specialized in the Sicilian language repertoire, so he assumed at the beginning of his career the stage name "Giovanni Grasso Junior" to stand out. Mirko Ellis
Mirko Ellis (4 September 1923 – 11 September 2014) was a Swiss-Italian film, stage and television actor. Born Mirko Korcinsky in Locarno to a family of Lithuanian origin, Ellis moved, after his studies, to Italy, where he made his film debut in 1946, in a critically acclaimed role in Aldo Vergano's neorealist drama ''The Sun Still Rises''. One year later, he debuted on stage in the theatrical company of Maria Melato. He later alternated important roles and character roles, in genre films and television productions. Ellis was married to fellow actress Esther Maring, with whom he lived in Alghero, Sardinia. On 11 September 2014, Ellis fell from the balcony of his fourth-floor apartment and died. Carlo Romano (8 May 1908 – 16 October 1975) was an Italian actor, voice actor and screenwriter. Biography Born in Livorno, Romano was the son of actress Dina Romano and the younger brother of actor Felice Romano. Romano started his acting career on stage in 1927. During World War II, he committed himself to starring mainly in revues and he still remained active in cinema, theatre, radio and television. In 1939, Romano began his radio acting career. He appeared in 94 films between 1934 and 1975. He also wrote for 14 films between 1955 and 1975. Among his most popular films include ''Four Steps in the Clouds'' and he also portrayed composer Ruggero Leoncavallo in the film ''I pagliacci''. Paola Borboni (1 January 1900 – 9 April 1995) was an Italian stage and film actress whose career spanned nine decades of cinema. Early life Borboni was born on 1 January 1900 in Parma, Italy. Career Borboni made her stage debut in 1916, beginning to take minor film roles soon afterwards. She entered film in 1916 in the silent picture ''Jacobo Ortis'' directed by Giuseppe Sterni, and made over 80 film appearances between then and 1990.
