Norway participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany, selecting their entry through the national final Melodi Grand Prix 2011, organised by the Norwegian broadcaster, Norsk Rikskringkasting (NRK). Before Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix 2011 ''Melodi Grand Prix 2011'' was the 49th edition of the Norwegian national final ''Melodi Grand Prix'' and selected Norway's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. The competition consisted of three semi-finals, a Last Chance round and a final in different cities across Norway, hosted by Anne Rimmen and Per Sundnes. The shows were televised on NRK1 as well as streamed online at NRK's official website ''nrk.no''. The final was also broadcast online at the official Eurovision Song Contest website ''eurovision.tv''. Stella Mwangi
Stella Nyambura Mwangi (born 1 September 1986) is a Kenyan-Norwegian singer, rapper and songwriter. Much of her music concerns the situation in her home country Kenya, and discrimination her family had to endure after moving to Norway in 1991. Her work has been used in films such as '' American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile'' and ''Save the Last Dance 2'', and also in TV-series such as ''CSI: NY'' and '' Scrubs''. Mustis is the pseudonym of Øyvind Johan Mustaparta (born 10 September 1979),https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Mustis/9297 a Norwegian keyboardist best known for his work in the symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, as well as the black/thrash metal band Susperia. Håkon Didriksen (born 2 February 1974), known professionally as Memnock, is a Norwegian bassist best known for playing in the extreme metal band Susperia. Tjodalv
Tjodalv (born Ian Kenneth Åkesson in 1976) is a Norwegian drummer. He is a founding member of both Dimmu Borgir and Old Man's Child. He now plays in Black Comedy and Susperia. Tjodalv played guitar on the first Dimmu Borgir albums ''Inn i evighetens mørke'' and ''For all tid''. He then switched to drumming for them on Stormblåst and continued with this until 1999. Due to his family and musical differences he left Dimmu Borgir on amicable terms. He was replaced by Nicholas Barker, former drummer of Cradle of Filth. Cyrus (musician)
Terje Andersen (born 12 May 1975), known professionally as Cyrus, is a Norwegian musician best known as the guitarist of the black metal band Susperia. He plays guitar and bass guitar. Biography Cyrus started his career in 1997 when he went playing in a band called Seven Sins with ex-Dimmu Borgir drummer Tjodalv. The band released one demo tape in that period. In 1999, they changed name to Susperia. In 2000, Cyrus went playing guitar with Satyricon for a worldwide tour. He was in Satyricon for two years as session member. Susperia
Susperia is a Norwegian black/thrash metal band formed in October 1998 by Tjodalv and Cyrus. The band was originally named Seven Sins, but since there was another band with that name they changed it to the title of the horror film '' Suspiria'', changing the spelling to avoid a clash with Suspiria, a gothic rock band that also took its name from the film. History Susperia was started by Tjodalv (Dimmu Borgir, Old Man's Child) and Cyrus (Satyricon, Old Man's Child) in October 1998. After Tjodalv left Dimmu Borgir in the middle of March 1999, he started to concentrate fully on Susperia together with old-time friend Cyrus. Sichelle Mcmeo Aksum (born 14 May 1988), better known by her stage name Sichelle, is a Norwegian- Grenadian singer. Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu
Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu (; born 23 August 1974), also known by his stage names Ovi Martin, Ovi Jacobsen, or simply Ovi, is a Romanian-Norwegian singer and songwriter. After being raised in Botoșani, he moved to Norway in 1995. He rose to fame in Norway in 2006 when he first took part in the Melodi Grand Prix 2006 with the song "The Better Side of Me" where he did not qualify to the final. Jennifer Vera Brown (born February 18, 1972) is a Swedish singer. She was born in Hjällbo, northeast of Gothenburg, Sweden. She has recorded four albums and one EP. Simone Eriksrud (; born 21 August 1970) is a Norwegian musician, singer and composer from Volda, and a member of D'Sound. She was earlier in her career known as Simone Larsen or just with the mononym Simone.
