Melina Delú
Melina Aída Delú (born 18 June 1976) is an Argentine politician who served as a National Deputy elected in La Pampa from 2017 to 2021. A member of the Justicialist Party, Delú sat in the Frente de Todos parliamentary bloc from 2019 to 2021. Delú previously worked in Provincial Housing Institute of La Pampa, from 2007 to 2017. She also served as Director of the Casa de La Pampa, the province's "cultural embassy" in Buenos Aires. Early life and education Delú was born on 18 June 1976 in General Pico, La Pampa Province. She comes from a political family, as her parents were both politically active, and her grandfather served as Secretary General of the General Confederation of Labour. She studied International Relations at the University of Belgrano, graduating in 1998. Delú is married to Gustavo Martín. The Chamber of Deputies ( es, Cámara de Diputados de la Nación), officially the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, is the lower house of the Argentine National Congress ( es, Congreso de la Nación). It is made up of 257 national deputies who are elected in multi-member constituencies corresponding with the territories of the 23 provinces of Argentina (plus the Federal Capital) by party list proportional representation. The Honorable Senate of the Argentine Nation ( es, Honorable Senado de la Nación Argentina) is the upper house of the National Congress of Argentina. Overview The National Senate was established by the Argentine Confederation on July 29, 1854, pursuant to Articles 46 to 54 of the 1853 Constitution. 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition. Sergio Raúl Ziliotto (born 24 September 1962) is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician who is currently governor of La Pampa Province, since 10 December 2019. Previously, from 2015 to 2019, he was a National Deputy for La Pampa. Early life and education Sergio Raúl Ziliotto was born on 24 September 1962 in General Pico, La Pampa Province. His father, son of immigrants, was a policeman, and also worked as a trucker. He moved to the provincial capital, Santa Rosa, to enroll at the National University of La Pampa (UNLPam).
