Mel Martin (born March 1947) is an English actress. Early life Her father was the artist Frank Vernon Martin, who died in 2005. Career Her breakthrough role was as the star of LWT's ''Love For Lydia'' (1977), adapted from the novel by H E Bates. John Duttine
John Arthur Duttine (born 15 March 1949) is an English actor noted for his roles on stage, films and television. He is well known for his role as Sgt George Miller in '' Heartbeat'' and also Bill Masen in the TV series ''The Day of the Triffids''. Early life Duttine was born on 15 March 1949 in Barnsley, West Riding of Yorkshire. He attended Buttershaw Secondary School; Stephen Petcher from his school would also appear in ''Heartbeat''. He grew up in Buttershaw, in south-west Bradford. He trained at the Drama Centre London in north London. In London he shared a flat with Bradford actor Ken Kitson. Ian Holm
Sir Ian Holm Cuthbert (12 September 1931 – 19 June 2020) was an English actor who was knighted in 1998 for his contributions to theatre and film. Beginning his career on the British stage as a standout member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, he later transitioned into a successful and prolific screen career. On film he portrayed a variety of both supporting and leading characters, earning critical acclaim and many accolades in the process. Anthony Higgins (born 9 May 1947) is an English stage, film and television actor. Career Higgins started acting in school and Cosmopolitan Club theatre plays, taking the lead in 'Treasure Island', 'Sweeney Todd', and 'The Beggar's Uproar' (sic).
