Ichirō Kōno
was a postwar Japanese politician and a member of the National Diet. In the 1950s and 1960s, he was the head of the powerful "Konō Faction" within the ruling Liberal Democratic Party of Japan. Seki, Mie
was a town located in Suzuka District, Mie Prefecture, Japan. As of November 1, 2004 (the last official figures before its dissolution), the town had an estimated population of 7,277 and a population density of 91.1 persons per km2. The total area was 79.88 km2. The town of Seki was founded on April 1, 1889 with the early Meiji period establishment of municipalities.
