Kenneth Megill
Kenneth Megill is an American philosopher, trade unionist, political activist, and records and knowledge manager. Philosopher Megill's primary philosophical contribution is the development of a democratic theory in the tradition of Democratic Marxism. Megill defined democracy as a political and social order where people control where they live and work. In 1961-1962 he studied with Karl-Otto Apel who introduced him to the works of Karl Marx, Charles Sanders Peirce, Martin Heidegger, and Hans-Georg Gadamer. In 1964-1965 he studied at the Free University of Berlin where he worked with manuscripts by Marx that had only recently been made available. The Free University was one of the main scenes of the German student movement of 1968. The events of the 1968 movement provided the impulse for more openness, equality, and democracy in German society. Tylor Megill
Tylor J. Megill (born July 28, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021. He pitched five innings of a combined no-hitter in April 2022. His nickname is Big Drip. Early life Megill was born on July 28, 1995, in Long Beach, California, to Julie and Kevin Megill. He attended Los Alamitos High School where he was a pitcher on their baseball team. College career Undrafted in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, he enrolled at Loyola Marymount University where he played college baseball. In 2015, his freshman year, he pitched 57 innings, going 6–3 with a 3.95 ERA. After that season, he transferred to Cypress College where he spent 2016, and went 11–3 with a 3.72 ERA over 17 games (16 starts). Trevor Megill
Trevor J. Megill (born December 5, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Chicago Cubs. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 7th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. Amateur career Megill attended Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California. He left high school early, and graduated through Bixby Charter School. Undrafted out of high school, he attended Loyola Marymount University. Megill missed his junior season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 3rd round, with the 104th overall selection, of the 2014 MLB draft, but did not sign and returned to college.
