Meghan Walter
Meghan Walter (born February 22, 2002) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She currently plays third on Team Kate Cameron. She is a former World Mixed Curling Champion. Career Walter skipped her own team throughout her junior career, however, struggled to make it out of the province. In 2017, her team of third Sara Oliver, second Morgan Reimer and lead Mackenzie Elias lost the provincial junior final to Shae Bevan. The following year, the team, now with third Erica Wiebe, went undefeated until the final where they lost to the Mackenzie Zacharias rink. Team Walter also lost back-to-back U18 finals in 2018 and 2019 to Emma Jensen. During the 2018 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Walter played third for the Lisa Hale-Menard rink. Erica Wiebe (curler)
Erica Elizabeth Wiebe (born June 13, 1989) is a Canadian retired wrestler. She won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in women's 75 kg freestyle. Wiebe was the third Canadian champion ever in wrestling at the Olympics, and second Canadian woman to win gold after Carol Huynh. Wiebe also won gold at two Commonwealth Games: the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. Career Wiebe started wrestling in grade 9 when she saw a sign posted for co-ed wrestling at her school, Sacred Heart High School in Stittsville, Ontario. She travelled as part of Canada's extended team for the 2012 Summer Olympics. There she was the training partner for Leah Callahan in London. At the 2013 World University Games Wiebe won a bronze medal in the women's 72 kg freestyle weight class. Taylour Stevens
Taylour Stevens (born August 31, 2000) is a Canadian curler from Chester, Nova Scotia. She is currently the alternate on Team Heather Smith. In 2022, she skipped her team to victory at the 2022 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Career Stevens was a member of the Cally Moore rink which represented Nova Scotia at the 2019 Canada Winter Games. They finished the round robin in fourth with a 6–4 record, qualifying them for the playoff round. They defeated Saskatchewan's Skylar Ackerman in the quarterfinals before being eliminated by eventual winners Ontario in the semifinal. They were able to pick up the bronze medal by defeating New Brunswick's Erica Cluff. This same team represented Nova Scotia later that year at the 2019 Canadian U18 Curling Championships but failed to advance to the knockout round after a 2–4 round robin record. Beth Peterson
Beth Peterson (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She currently skips her own team out of the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg. Career Peterson won the 2015 Manitoba Junior provincial championship skipping her team of Robyn Njegovan, Melissa Gordon and Breanne Yozenko. At the 2015 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, they finished in fifth place with a 6–4 record. The following season, her team began competing on the World Curling Tour and finished runner-up at the 2015 Mother Club Fall Curling Classic. Peterson won her first tour event at the 2016 Atkins Curling Supplies Classic where she defeated Darcy Robertson 7–6 in the final. Canadian U18 Curling Championships
The Canadian U18 Curling Championships is an annual curling tournament held to determine the best juvenile-level curling team in Canada. Juvenile level curlers must be under the age of 18 as of June 30 in the year prior to the tournament. The 2017 Canadian U18 Curling Championships was the inaugural championship for both the men's and women's sides. The event is a continuation of the Optimist U18 International Curling Championships.
