''Megasztár - Voice of the Year'' was a Hungarian a music talent show that started in 2003 on TV2. While it is widely considered an unlicensed clone of the British television show ''Pop Idol'' (and sometimes even referred to as ''Hungarian Idol''), TV2 maintains that it is a distinct format created by SBS management member Christoph Buerge. The sixth season was the last, because TV2 bought the license of ''The Voice''. The Hungarian edition of ''The Voice'' premiered in fall 2012; it will be the rival show to ''X-Faktor''. Impact The show is notable for not only stirring up but, in the end, radically changing the pop music world in the Hungary of the 2000s, often criticized due to the lack original talent that ''Megasztár'' set out to find. Viktor Király
Dov Viktor Király (born March 29, 1984) is a Hungarian American, Hungarian-American singer and songwriter. In 2006, he was part of the Hungarian band Twinz with his twin brother Benjamin. In 2008, he became the fourth winner of the Hungarian music competition ''Megasztár''. He is the younger brother of the Hungarian pop singer Linda Király. In 2012 and 2014, he took part in ''A Dal'', a selection process in an unsuccessful bid to represent Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2015, he took part in The Voice (U.S. season 9), season 9 of the American series ''The Voice (U.S. TV series), The Voice'', initially as part of Adam Levine's team, and later Gwen Stefani's, but was eliminated on November 11 during the Live Playoffs round, in which the Top 24 competed for the public's vote and coaches' choices.
