Megan Keller
Megan Keller (born May 1, 1996) is an American professional ice hockey player for PWHL Boston of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She is also a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. USA Hockey career At the 2014 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championships, she led all skaters with a plus/minus rating of +9. To date, her best international performance came in the 2015 IIHF World Championships in Malmö, Sweden, where she contributed 5 points in 4 games as a member of the Gold-Medalist team. On January 2, 2022, Keller was named to Team USA's roster to represent the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics. PWHL Boston
Boston are a professional ice hockey team based in Lowell, Massachusetts. They are one of the six charter franchises of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). History It was revealed on August 29, 2023, that one of the PWHL's first six franchises would be located in Boston. Danielle Marmer, a former scout and player development assistant for the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins, was named the team's inaugural general manager. On September 15, Boston University women's team associate head coach Courtney Kessel was announced as the team's first head coach. Patty Kazmaier Award
The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is given to the top female college ice hockey player in the United States. The award is presented during the women's annual ice hockey championship, the Frozen Four. The award was first presented in 1998. The award is named in honor of the late Patty Kazmaier-Sandt, a four-year varsity letter winner and All Ivy League honoree for the Princeton University women's ice hockey team from 1981 through 1986. She also played field hockey and lacrosse. She died on February 15, 1990 at the age of 28 from a rare blood disease. Patty was the daughter of Heisman Trophy winner Dick Kazmaier. International Ice Hockey Federation
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments.
